This is the GAP Bolt Chassis, Silverback Finish.

Silverback is our cool grey-toned finish for the GAP bolt action chassis, chosen for rocky ground, urban environments and low-vegetation terrain where the warmer earth tones and green patterns we also stock would stand out rather than disappear. The chassis itself does not change between finishes: same aluminium body, same bedding, same modular interface.

Why a chassis costs what it does

Two things: it beds the action with enough consistency that the rifle returns to the same point of impact shot after shot, and it lets the rifle fit you rather than the other way round. The aluminium body’s stiffness over a synthetic stock is what keeps the action from flexing under bipod load, which is where the real accuracy benefit comes from, not the surface finish.

Before you order

Confirm your action matches the inlet, your barrel contour clears the forend, and your magazine is supported. Most chassis accept common stocks and grips interchangeably, so a lot of the ergonomic fitting happens after the base chassis is in hand rather than being baked into one fixed configuration.

Weight versus modularity

A chassis adds weight over a synthetic stock, which helps stability on a bipod and costs you on a long carry in. In exchange you get a rifle built from swappable parts rather than one fixed shape, useful if your use case changes over time.
