Congo is our dense, organic blotch-pattern finish for the GAP bolt action chassis, built for tropical and heavy jungle-type vegetation where the surrounding cover is irregular rather than the more linear, uniform vegetation Tiger Stripe is built to blend into. Beneath the pattern the chassis is unchanged: the same aluminium body, bedding system and modular forend across every finish we stock.

The job a chassis does

Consistent bedding is the whole point, an aluminium chassis holds the action rigid enough under bipod load that the barrel returns to the same point of impact reliably, which a flexing synthetic stock cannot match. That rigidity, not the camo on top of it, is what you are paying for.

Confirming fitment

Check the inlet against your specific action, verify your barrel contour clears the forend, and confirm your magazine is supported before ordering. A heavy-contour barrel needs a forend cut to match; a sporter-contour barrel will rattle in one built for something larger.

What changes and what doesn’t when you add a chassis

You gain modularity, forend, grip and stock can be swapped independently rather than living with one fixed shape. You give up some weight savings versus a synthetic stock, which shows up most on a long carry rather than on the range or from a bipod.
