What this is

This is an 8.6 Blackout upper assembly built on the AR-10 pattern, our flagship caliber’s standard platform. Confirm exactly what ships assembled, barrel, bolt carrier group, charging handle and handguard can each vary between what is fitted and what you add yourself, before ordering.

Lower compatibility

8.6 Blackout uses standard AR-10 pattern receiver dimensions and magazine well, so a correctly built upper should mate with a standard AR-10 lower. If your lower comes from a less common manufacturer, confirm bolt catch and takedown pin compatibility before assuming a drop-in fit.

Headspace

A complete upper should ship already headspaced to its own bolt. If you later swap the bolt or barrel, headspace needs to be rechecked, it is not something you can assume carries over from the factory setup.
